This article deals with transformative positive peak experiences, bearing significant and positive consequences.
We offer to term those “Positive Peak Experiences”.

The reseach was implemented by Lia Naor in University of Haifa under the instruction of Marianna Ruah-Midbar and Ofra Mayseless.
It was published (some 5,000 words, in Hebrew) in the Education Faculty’s journal – Iyumin BeHinuch [Studies in Education].

Abstract

Abraham Maslow claimed that peak experiences are unsual, but everyone has the potential of having them.
The article surveys the peak experience characteristics and its definitions, as well as close conceptualizations (mystical experience, revelation/epiphany, trans-personal experience, flow, zone, quantum leap), and offers the term “Positive Peak Experience”.
